Breakfast in Santa Barbara III is part of a small series of acrylic on canvas works painted during Hannah Carrick's recent residency in California in November, 2019. Carrick was staying in a beautiful abode in sunny Santa Barbara, where she set up a little outdoor studio surrounded by nature. This is where this small collection of paintings came to life. Breakfast in Santa Barbara is heavily inspired by Santa Barbara's uniqueness and those quiet morning in Carrick's outdoor studio.
